hey Kyle, thanks for pointing out those sites, I'd setup a script on my machine to login to various finance sites each day, to keep track of things but I still had to aggregate things myself :-(

I usually try to keep my expenses on a single credit card, but that plan has holes in it, like if I hit up the ATM or use a different card. Thanks for the sites, they sound pretty neat.

@Kyle: Thanks for the detailed information about automatic services. Clearly, I have a bias to my own spreadsheet since it is quick, customizable, and secure, but I am open to finding a good automatic service. I will check out Yodlee and Worthie.

Hey Presh,

Have you tried moneycenter.yodlee.com? It is an online application that is used by a lot of banks, such as Bank of America (largest Bank in the US) for managing your money online and so is pretty trustworthy.

This particular version is unbranded and completely free and open to use. You login and fill in your online logins for your banks, credit cards, and market accounts. (Make sure your passwords are always very secure)

It will then interface with these accounts and break down your credit card bills and bank accounts automatically into how much you save and spend and add categories as well. If it messes up, it is simple to click a drop down menu to change that a regular store is actually a restaurant. It will also remember the changes that you make to their automated categorizing of your expenses.

You can then click and see charts of your money coming in and out and you can also set up a budget for each category (Food, Hobby, Travel, so on) and it will track automatically each month how close you are to that budget.

Finally, you can do online bill pay through their system so you can use the site as your one stop banking and expense tracking needs.

Another quick and easy site is www.worthie.com. It is in beta and I haven't looked at it in a while. But it will do charts and you can tag and categorize your spending as well. Although I like Yodlee more because it will do it all for you automatically. But if you are uneasy about giving up your bank logins, check out Worthie.
