Food Fridays: Kick Your Vodka up a Notch
First of all, a small announcement. I have a lot of year-end festivities coming up, so this will likely be my last post until January. On that note, I toast you with three links about vodka.
1. Making fruit-infused vodka
This comes from the blog Modern Beet, which suggests making infused vodka is a good lazy Sunday activity:

I’m definitely going to give this a try and see how it turns out.
(Incidentally, I found Modern Beet via the Stanford blog directory (blog.stanford.edu), which has a ton of cool blogs, including faculty blogs.)
2. Mixing vodka or liquors with diet sodas
Apparently, diet colas make hard liquor absorb quicker into the bloodstream. Less filling, and more effect?

3. Airplanes and vodka do not mix
If you are traveling with vodka, please don’t copy this guy:

More like Vodka and cheap passengers don’t mix, yesh, pay the fee and have it checked in…
Though, perhaps he wanted to booze it up while on the plane. And come on, 2 PINTS of Vodka > 16 shots. And the guy was 64 years old.
Talk about not minding your decisions very well.
