Hi presh,

Why does the theoretical & real price of options differ? so when should one know if the reward of buying or selling option is good?

Thanks
Rajesh

I like your website a lot, especially the articles on Game Theory.

The spreadsheet is very nice, because few numbers have to be typed in and yet the simulation gives a good insight in the effect of changes in the stock market.

About two years ago I had a similar idea for an online calculator. My idea was simulating several different assets, such as stocks, houses, loans (negative asset). I ended up with an online calculator with 5 asset classes, each with a fixed return. Though the return is fixed the calculator takes (yearly) costs on each asset into account. See http://www.numericalexample.com/content/view/51/27/

Your spreadsheet definitely inspires me to make an improved version of this investment category calculator, for instance by permitting the returns changing in time.

BTW: the trackback link is broken (Three Myths Busted: Generation Y’s Best Financial Strategies : Brazen Careerist)
