This poor diner is with a group of friends who ordered the same thing, and yet use every excuse in the book to avoid paying their fair share.

My personal favorite is the guy who brings up that it was his birthday the week before and feels like he deserves another celebration.

The guy who ends up stuck with the entire bill definitely should read up on how to split the check fairly to plan better next time.

One solution is to take this group to go to lunch buffets or places where you order at the counter and pre-pay. The other solution, a bit harsher, is that he should just get new friends.
